This initiative provides rental assistance for a maximum of six months, which can be allocated towards overdue rent, the current month's rent, and one month of future rent. Additionally, applicants for rental assistance can seek help with utility bills that are currently due or overdue from Denver.

Important Information: Please note that submitting a complete application does not ensure approval. Assistance may only cover part of the requested amount, and applications are prioritized based on urgency. Draft applications will not be accepted after the application window closes. Approval is contingent on eligibility and fund availability. Due to a high volume of urgent applications, expect longer wait times. Households that received TRUA funding in 2025 cannot reapply for funds in 2026 and will not qualify for TRUA that year. Rental assistance does not have to be requested for consecutive months. Applicants can log into their Submittable account to check the status of their application and communicate via messages. The TRUA application portal will be open for 24 hours on the following dates: June 16th, July 21st, August 18th, September 15th, October 20th, November 17th, and December 15th of 2026.

- To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a Demand for Rent of Possession from their landlord or have an active Forcible entry and detainer action.
