The 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine is a free, statewide bilingual resource designed to connect Idahoans with health and human service providers and programs. Established in 1991, it acts as the primary directory for numerous Department of Health and Welfare initiatives. Utilizing a comprehensive database, the CareLine facilitates information and referral services for a variety of needs, including prenatal care, immunizations, adolescent pregnancy prevention, Medicaid resources, child development, adoption and foster care, nutrition, child care, child abuse prevention, services for seniors, and diabetes care, among others. Individuals can reach out via call or email to obtain information packets on topics like adoption, assistance applications (including CHIP), adolescent suicide prevention, and early childhood concerns. Additionally, the CareLine keeps an updated list of Medicaid providers who are accepting new patients, covering services such as chiropractic care, eye care, and counseling. The service is available in English and Spanish, with access to the AT&T Language Line for additional support.
