To address these critical health challenges, the American Heart Association trains numerous Idaho residents in CPR each year, provides a 24/7 helpline for inquiries and brochure distribution, and maintains a website for both the public and medical professionals. They produce a variety of educational materials for the community and healthcare providers, advocate for supportive health legislation, and run several community initiatives like Operation Heartbeat and Jump Rope for Heart. The organization commits to allocating at least 30% of its income to research, making it the largest non-governmental funding source for cardiovascular research, with some studies conducted in Idaho. Additionally, they host international conferences for medical practitioners, and some brochures are available in Spanish.
