Cares (Children At Risk Evaluation Services) Boise

Focused on preventing further trauma in children who may have experienced maltreatment (including sexual, physical, emotional abuse, or neglect), this program offers a secure and child-friendly setting where trained professionals carry out interviews, medical assessments, and psycho-social evaluations. The main goal is to reduce additional trauma while ensuring an impartial service. Evaluations take place in a confidential space, minimizing the necessity for repeated exams or interviews. A comprehensive evaluation requires a referral from law enforcement or the Department of Health and Welfare. Language interpretation services are available.

Intake Procedure: A parent or guardian must schedule an appointment following a referral from Health and Welfare or law enforcement.
