In Region 1, all home inspections for child care are managed by the Panhandle Health District at (208) 415-5100. For Region 2, clients should be directed to the nearest city office based on their location: North Central District Health in Kamiah (208) 935-2124, Lewiston (208) 799-3100, Moscow (208) 882-7506, and Orofino (208) 476-7850. In Region 3, Southwest District Health at (208) 455-5408 handles all inspections, referring callers to the correct office according to their county. Region 4 clients should contact the appropriate office based on their county: Central District Health in Boise (208) 327-7499 for Ada and Boise counties, McCall (208) 634-7194 for Valley county, and Mountain Home (208) 587-9225 for Elmore county. For Region 5, South Central District Health at (208) 734-5900 - Option 3 is the contact. In Region 6, Southeast District Health can be reached at Michelle (208) 233-9080 ext. 318. For Region 7, clients are referred to District 7 Health in Idaho Falls (208) 523-5382 for all areas except Lemhi and Custer counties, and Salmon (208) 756-2123 for those specific counties. All inspections are conducted by the Environmental Health department within the respective health districts.
