The Crime Victims Compensation Program offers financial support for treatment costs to victims or claimants once all other payment avenues have been exhausted, with a limit of $25,000. Upon approval of your claim, payments can cover reasonable expenses directly resulting from the crime, such as: Payments for medical and hospital services, medications, and other authorized treatments; mental health services; counseling for victims' family members; lost wages; benefits for dependents in case of death; and funeral costs. Available in English and Spanish.
Intake Procedure: An application for benefits must be submitted. Applications can be obtained at most county prosecutor offices.
