The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapy for children from birth to 3 years, covering developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in helping their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends services to adults with developmental disabilities, which include court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
