The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapy for children from birth to 3 years, covering developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information on private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention to aid families in fostering the development of their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, feeding, and engagement in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters upon request. Intake is initiated by calling for an evaluation.
