The Division of Family and Community Services manages state social service initiatives, which encompass adoptions, child protection, child care licensing, the licensing of children's residential treatment centers, and the interstate compact on children. Additionally, it is responsible for the administration, operation, and program development for statewide services, developmental disabilities, and certain institutional programs.
