Idaho Parents Unlimited - Ipul - Statewide

IPUL functions as the statewide parent training and information center dedicated to supporting Idaho families with children who have disabilities. It offers valuable information to parents, families, and communities regarding Special Education, as well as the availability of SSI and Medicaid benefits for children. The center aids parents in navigating the application process and has trained parent representatives in various Idaho communities. The Family to Family Health Education and Information Center is also available to assist families of children with special needs by: *facilitating access to insurance options (CHIP, Katie Beckett, SSI) through a toll-free number,*providing information on community-based services for developmental disabilities,*offering guidance on 'medical home' information and care coordination,*supporting families in advocating for their children to receive optimal care,*addressing school-based medical issues,*connecting families with support groups,*and providing Spanish-speaking staff. Additionally, VSA arts of Idaho empowers individuals with disabilities through inclusive and participatory creative opportunities, offering professional training, workshops, and state-initiated projects. Languages offered include English and Spanish.
