Living Independence Network Corp (Linc) - Boise

The initiative focuses on enabling individuals with disabilities to reach their desired level of independence by facilitating their transition from institutions and preventing future institutionalization. It offers a range of support services and advocacy for those wishing to live autonomously within the community. Services include peer support, information and referrals, benefits counseling, personal assistance, and training in independent living skills. Assistance is provided for applying to SSI, SSD, and PASS (Plan for Achieving Self-Support). Additionally, the program conducts A.D.A. site evaluations, provides training to prevent discrimination, and educates about the philosophy of Independent Living and disability-related issues. Equipment for assistance is available at little or no cost, and services are offered in English and other languages upon request.
