The Bureau is responsible for developing, interpreting, and communicating policies that align with existing laws and executive objectives. It oversees programs such as Aged & Disabled and State Plan Waivers, Private Duty Nursing, Katie Beckett, and nursing home services for individuals living in the community, assisted living, or nursing facilities. Additionally, the Bureau ensures quality assurance and collaborates with the Regional Medicaid Services staff on operational and policy matters. It also administers the Aging Connection program and manages contracts within the Division of Medicaid. Furthermore, the Bureau oversees the Medicaid Transportation program, which provides necessary transport to medical services when alternative options are unavailable. Services are offered in English, with access to interpreters as needed.
