Veterans Services, Division Of

The Division of Veterans Services supports Idaho's military veterans and their families as an independent state agency. It offers housing options for homeless veterans who have an honorable discharge and do not have sex offenders in their household. Eligible veterans can apply for three programs: 1) The Veteran Administration Supportive Housing (VASH) voucher, akin to a Section 8 voucher, available for singles or families in Boise, Canyon County, and Twin Falls; 2) A Transitional Housing Voucher for singles or families in Boise who are chronically homeless; 3) Group Living, which is for singles only in Boise. To qualify, veterans must be literally homeless; those at risk of becoming homeless do not meet the criteria.
