OPERATION SCHOOL BELL: School officials refer children in need to ALB for new clothing, hygiene kits, and shoe vouchers. Since the launch of OSB, THRIFT STORE: Provides affordable clothing for both adults and children, along with small household items at low prices. CINDERELLA'S CLOSET: Established in 2005, ALB has been offering formal wear rentals to high school girls in Ada County for Homecoming and Prom, ensuring they can participate fully in their high school experiences. In 2007, menswear was added, allowing young men to borrow tuxedos. The inventory includes over 600 donated gowns and 77 tuxedos. OPERATION SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Supplies designated by the district are provided to Ada County students whose families are experiencing financial difficulties. PROJECT HEARING: Volunteers assist the hearing impaired in Ada County and offer scholarships to hearing-impaired students, as well as provide hearing aids or necessary equipment to those in need. HISTORY IN THE BOWN HOUSE: Our docents at this restored 1879 house give insight into 1890s Idaho farm life to children. Fourth graders engage in an agricultural learning game, explore period communication tools, and learn about the challenges faced during the westward Oregon Trail journey. They also experience a historical classroom and discover daily farm chores and family leisure activities. BABY BUNDLES: This program delivers newborn layettes to all Ada County hospitals, distributed to new mothers at the discretion of social work and nursing staff. Languages: English.

Intake Procedure: For Operation School Bell, children are brought to Assistance League by school counselors on a pre-arranged basis.
