The LIHEAP program provides support to qualifying households once each winter season, typically starting on November 1st, contingent on federal funding availability. It assists with the primary heating source by delivering a one-time, fixed benefit directly to the utility company. The LIHEAP Crisis program is also available for eligible households once per season, specifically for those at risk of having their Intermountain Gas or Idaho Power service disconnected or who have already experienced disconnection. Households may qualify for both LIHEAP and LIHEAP Crisis assistance. The LIHEAP Crisis program is accessible year-round, subject to funding. Languages offered include English.
