The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to address family needs. This program investigates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve evaluations of family members and the affected child. It also assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, perpetrators, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English.
