National Federation Of The Blind Of Idaho

The NFB's mission is to guarantee opportunity, security, and equality for all blind individuals. It serves a dual purpose: to empower blind people to build self-confidence and self-respect, and to provide a platform for their collective expression. NFB members work to educate society that blind individuals are capable of competing equally with sighted individuals. The organization offers a variety of services for blind and visually impaired individuals of all ages, including public education on blindness, information and referral services, scholarships, literature and publications, adaptive aids and equipment, advocacy services, civil rights protection, and programs like Job Opportunities for the Blind and Newsline for the Blind (a newspaper accessible by phone).
