Environmental Health programs focus on the relationship between human health and the physical environment, covering areas such as daycare, epidemiology (animal bites, food and waterborne illnesses), food establishment permits and inspections, indoor air quality, methamphetamine labs, public pools, and solid waste management. Land Development programs address mortgage surveys, non-domestic wastewater, public water systems, subdivision reviews, and subsurface sewage evaluations. Family Planning services include education, counseling, pregnancy testing, comprehensive physical exams (including cancer and STD screenings), and referrals, with various birth control methods available. The Immunization Registry is a free, confidential service that tracks immunizations for individuals and families. The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Program offers healthy foods through vouchers, health screenings, nutrition classes, and referrals to healthcare providers for eligible pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and children under five. The Women's Health Check program provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings for women who qualify, including those without insurance for these tests or who meet specific age and income criteria.
