Acerca de este recurso

The Medical Reserve Corps can be reached at 208-239-5208, and the Swine Flu Hotline for Region 6 is available at 208-234-5888. Idaho consists of seven health districts that work closely with the Department of Health and Welfare and other local and state agencies. Each district has a health board appointed by county commissioners and operates independently from state agencies. They cater to local requirements by offering a variety of services that differ across districts, including community health nursing, home health care, environmental health, dental hygiene, and nutrition programs, many of which are contracted through the Department of Health and Welfare. For updated information on available services in your area, please reach out to your nearest District Health Department. The Public Health Preparedness and Communication Systems office collaborates with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and other health entities to develop a comprehensive statewide strategy for responding to bioterrorism and public health emergencies. Environmental Health programs address the intersection of human health with the physical environment and include areas such as daycare, epidemiology, food establishments, indoor air quality, lead health programs, methamphetamine labs, public pools, and solid waste management. Land Development programs cover regulations on critical materials, non-domestic wastewater, public water systems, and more. Family Planning services offer education, counseling, pregnancy testing, and comprehensive exams, with various birth control methods available. Immunizations for children are provided at low or no cost, and adult vaccines may also be accessible. The Immunization Registry helps track vaccination history. The WIC program supports women, infants, and children by providing healthy foods, health screenings, nutrition classes, and counseling. The Women's Health Check program offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings for eligible women without insurance coverage for these tests.
