The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it offers suitable services to address family needs. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers this program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible.
