The Regional Children and Family Services Program addresses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it provides essential services to meet family needs. This program evaluates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve reviewing the circumstances of family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program is responsible for licensing child care facilities, foster homes, and offering some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
