The Regional Children and Family Services Program addresses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When deemed necessary, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. The program evaluates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve reviewing the situation of family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
