The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports related to child abuse, neglect, or abandonment, offering appropriate services to meet family needs when required. This program evaluates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve examining family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates access to counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved, with no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the program, and services are available in English with interpreter assistance.
