The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program offers services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program provides therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in assisting children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, feeding, and engaging in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, offering services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
