The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program includes various therapies such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, and shares information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), helping families support their children's development to reach their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in fostering children's communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services for individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which provides services in English and offers interpreter access as needed.
