The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides tailored services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family assistance. Additionally, the program offers various therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family’s needs to facilitate the child's growth. It operates through multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
