The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family assistance. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to assist families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the support requirements of the family. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities through court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
