The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services aimed at addressing the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private service providers for developmental disabilities. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to support families in helping their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) achieve their full potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in assisting children with communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating, and engaging in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
