The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program aims to address the requirements of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It offers a variety of services such as assessment, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it provides various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services to assist families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their full potential. These services cater to both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to encourage the child's growth. This program is supported by multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engaging in daily family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program delivers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which include court-ordered guardianship, competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
