The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program aims to cater to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It provides services such as evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianships and commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers therapies like developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational, while also sharing information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services for families with infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the requirements of the family to foster the child's growth. The program operates through multidisciplinary teams of therapists specializing in aiding children to communicate, move, think, eat, and engage more actively in their family’s daily routines. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program delivers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
