Bydc's Promise

BYDC's Promise delivers a wealth of resources for young individuals in Bonneville County, focusing on service, leadership, and prevention, alongside positive social activities. Our initiative is rooted in the 40 Developmental Assets and the 5 Promises to enhance the community for youth. The Bonneville Youth Council (BYC) serves as the youth arm of BYDC's Promise. Our goals include: * Offering service opportunities for youth. * Advocating for the 40 Assets and Five Promises within Bonneville County. * Partnering with community members and organizations to improve existing programs. * Seeking methods to boost parental engagement in education, utilize youth as resources, provide adult role models, and foster community support for youth through creative activities and decision-making processes. Additionally, BYDC has initiated a new parent education program titled "BYDC'S Connecting the Dots," aimed at helping parents identify early signs of potential alcohol and drug abuse, as youth often engage in such behaviors 1 to 2 years before parents become aware. This program is designed to assist parents in recognizing issues before they escalate. Available in English.
