The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to address family issues. This program investigates and assesses reported cases of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for victims, parents, perpetrators, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program is responsible for licensing foster homes and offering some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible if needed.
