Aafv Community Center

The AAFV Community Center, managed by Advocates Against Family Violence, provides an extensive array of free and low-cost services focused on aiding survivors and fortifying families. Central to its mission is the availability of 24/7 crisis support via a hotline and text line, which ensures prompt assistance and safety planning for individuals facing domestic violence. Survivors and their families can find emergency shelter at Hope’s Door, along with transitional and permanent housing options, including affordable accommodations at Hope Plaza Apartments, which feature amenities like a community center, meeting spaces, and a computer lab. The center also offers complimentary counseling, court advocacy, and legal support to assist individuals with protection orders, custody disputes, and other legal challenges. Families can take advantage of the Hope Lane Learning Center, which provides childcare and after-school programs for children aged six weeks to twelve years, including meals and enrichment activities. In addition to direct services, AAFV is committed to community outreach and education, delivering workshops, life skills training, and youth programs that promote awareness and healthy relationships. By integrating safe housing, emotional support, advocacy, education, and childcare, the AAFV Community Center acts as a vital resource for hope and healing within the community, serving both English and Spanish speakers.
