The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment by evaluating and addressing them. When required, it provides suitable services to meet the needs of families. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved, all at no cost for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
