The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates and investigates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, it provides suitable services to meet family needs. This program assesses and determines incidents of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses foster homes and offers some adoption services, and it is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
