The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, led by Wynette Howard - Early Intervention Specialist and Mike Breuer - Regional Program Specialist, are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, and provides information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program specifically focuses on delivering early intervention services for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. This program addresses both the developmental needs of the child and the family's needs to foster the child's growth. It operates through multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in learning essential skills such as communication, mobility, cognition, eating, and active participation in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends services to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English, with interpreter services available upon request.
