This site caters to families employed in the agricultural and vegetable processing fields, requiring that their income stems from agricultural jobs. Head Start is a nationwide preschool initiative designed for children from income-eligible households, with centers managed by local nonprofit organizations across the country. * Applications are accepted for children from birth to age 5. * Families must have incomes below poverty thresholds. * Eligible children should be 3 or 4 years old by August 31. * The program also accommodates children with special needs or those considered high risk. *** Over-income children with special needs are accepted. *** Support is provided for children's medical, dental, educational, and social service requirements at no cost. Documentation needed includes income verification, child's birthdate, birth certificate, and immunization records. Head Start Supportive Services include: * Social Services * Parent Involvement * Nutrition * Mental Health * Health * Education * Disabilities * Dental * Transportation. Head Start aims to enhance and uplift the lives of children, families, staff, and the community, helping families navigate life's hurdles through quality education and family-centered services. The program welcomes low-income children aged 0-5 years, offering a full-week program of 12 hours each day, during which four meals are provided. Parents are encouraged to volunteer, and positive parenting classes are available to aid families in educational pursuits. Transportation services are also offered. Available languages include English and Spanish.
