Mental Health Services (Adult/Children) - Caldwell, Dhw3
Community Resource
Acerca de este recurso
Public mental health services are organized into key areas: Community Crisis Response and support for Adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) or children facing significant emotional challenges. COMMUNITY CRISIS RESPONSE SERVICES serve as the initial intervention for adults undergoing a mental health crisis, which may include psychiatric symptoms like self-harm or harm to others. In Idaho, each Welfare region has a community health center along with one or more satellite offices that offer 24-hour crisis response services, including hotlines, emergency psychiatric evaluations, treatment referrals, and consultations with law enforcement, hospitals, and other social services as needed. SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS services are aimed at individuals aged 18 and older with severe mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder, major affective disorder, delusional disorder, or borderline personality disorder. These conditions must significantly disrupt the individual's ability to function in at least two areas of their life, either consistently or sporadically. SPMI services encompass screening and referral, assertive community treatment, crisis intervention, case management, psychiatric and medical services, short-term outpatient therapy, individual and group psychosocial rehabilitation, consultation and education, and community-supported employment. The Mental Health Program is overseen by the Division of Behavioral Health, and services are available in English with interpreters accessible upon request. Intake Procedure: Call to be screened for eligibility.
