Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) delivers residential care to individuals with developmental disabilities who qualify for the level of care necessary for an intermediate care facility for the intellectually disabled (ICF/ID). This center serves those who have explored all community resources, options, and supports, making SWITC the least restrictive residential placement that aligns with their needs. It is the only publicly operated ICF/ID in Idaho, offering highly specialized treatment for individuals admitted through evaluations by the regional FACS Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters accessible as needed.
Intake Procedure: To initiate a referral, contact the Developmental Disabilities Units in the Department of Health and Welfare Regional Field Offices.
