LIFE advocates for and implements the independent living philosophy by ensuring consumer control over decision-making, service delivery, management, and policy formulation. It emphasizes self-help and self-advocacy, the development of peer relationships and role models, and guarantees equal access for individuals with disabilities to societal services, programs, activities, resources, and facilities. LIFE, INC. serves 19 counties in the southeast, offering various resources to help individuals with disabilities enhance or maintain their independence in their homes, families, and communities. Services are available in English and Spanish.
