The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program delivers early intervention services aimed at helping families support their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their full potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engaging in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program extends support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination at the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are available in English, with interpreters provided as needed.
