The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program are tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Offerings encompass evaluations, diagnoses, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, therapeutic services such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies are available, along with information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and active participation in family routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers services to adults with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program. Services are primarily in English, with interpreter services available upon request.
