The services provided by the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program aim to address the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, and shares information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to support families with infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) in achieving their developmental milestones. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of specialists who assist children in developing skills necessary for communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and active participation in family life. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination for the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is overseen by the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
