The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family supports. Additionally, it offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapies, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to support families with infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their developmental milestones. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in aiding children in communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and active participation in family routines. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and the development of community resources. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the administration of the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program.
