The Cooperative Extension System at the University of Idaho plays a vital role in supporting the agricultural and rural sectors of Idaho by offering various services, programs, and research crucial for the state's growth. Key offerings include: 4-H, Weed Control Programs, EFNEP (Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program), Garden/Landscape Management Programs, Youth at Risk Programs, Crops/Horticulture Programs, small business development assistance, Money Management/Household Budgeting, Life Skills training, and Pesticide Applicator Training. Most agriculture and horticulture services provided by UI Extension are free, with the exception of soil testing, which incurs shipping and lab fees. Services are available in English.
