The City of Mountain Home Animal Shelter is managed by the Investigations Bureau of the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD). It serves the City of Mountain Home, Idaho, and its surrounding areas. The shelter is responsible for the care of stray animals until they are adopted and also handles animal control calls. The facility is open to the public from Monday to Saturday, while MHPD addresses all after-hours animal-related incidents, including bites and stray animals.
