The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles reports of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and evaluates these cases thoroughly. When needed, it provides suitable services to meet family needs. The program assesses and determines the validity of reported child abuse incidents, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for victims, parents, abusers, and others involved, with no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities, foster homes, and offers some adoption services.
