The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services aimed at assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services such as developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private providers of developmental disability services. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention to aid families in supporting their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) in achieving their fullest potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children develop communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program delivers services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination to the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services, with services available in English and interpreters accessible upon request.
