The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program is tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. It encompasses services such as evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianship and commitment assistance, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, it offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also providing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on delivering early intervention services to aid families in fostering the growth of their infants and toddlers (from birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. These early intervention services address both the developmental needs of the child and the family’s requirements to enhance the child's growth. The program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in helping children with communication, mobility, cognition, nutrition, and engagement in daily family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program offers support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, coordination for placement in the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services administers the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English with interpreter access.
