The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When needed, it offers suitable services to meet family requirements. This program evaluates reported cases of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the child who has been harmed. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. There are no fees for child protective services. Additionally, the Regional Children and Family Services Program is responsible for licensing foster homes and offering some adoption services. It is operated by the Division of Family and Community Services, and services are available in English, with interpreters accessible.
